This is a concept for an aviation museum, which is proposed to be grafted onto an existing plane hangar, which is located at a regional airport. The new building will include a meeting room, public toilets, reception and display area, café, inside and outside visitors seated eating area, which will be serviced by the cafe. The existing wall of the hangar will be removed to make way for a new glazed light wall, which will have semitransparent decals depicting images of vintage aircraft. these images will be able to be seen from inside the hangar area and will be backlit at night. The entry canopy is of a scale to allow for a covered drop-off area for visitors arriving by coach and to serve as a landmark to identify the building from the distant roadway.
